You walk off into a market area with vendors. The exit gate is a short walk. Taxis are outside the gate. The downtown streets start nearby. ## Watch-outs Taxis cannot enter the port grounds. Walk to the gate. Tour sellers are right outside. Agree any fare before you get in. The walk into town is about 10-20 minutes and mostly flat but open to the sun. Take water. US dollars are accepted but pesos give better value. ## Getting into Ensenada Avenida López Mateos, the main shopping street, is a 10-20 minute walk from the pier. A shuttle from the dock is about $3-4 per person. Yellow taxis outside the gate take the short ride. Most people walk. The Malecon is right by the ship. ## Taxis & ride apps Yellow taxis queue outside the port gate. Agree the price first. A short ride downtown is cheap. For La Bufadora or wineries, prices are higher and often per person. Uber is limited. Name the cruise pier for the return. ## What to do nearby Walk the Malecon past the big flag. The market is at the pier. Avenida López Mateos has shops and restaurants a short walk inland. The streets are flat. Bodegas and small museums are in the centre. The walk is easy. ## Going further La Bufadora blowhole is about 45 minutes south by taxi or tour. Wine valley is north, about 30-40 minutes. Both need transport. Check the return carefully. The centre fills most short calls. ## Food & shopping Vendors at the pier sell souvenirs. Shops and restaurants are on López Mateos. A taco or drink is easy. Cards work in many places; cash is useful. English is common near the port. ## Opening times & connectivity Shops open usual hours, later in the evening. Free Wi-Fi is in cafes. For emergencies call 911. Spanish is the language; English works in tourist spots. ## Accessibility & mobility The walk from the pier to the gate and into town is mostly flat.
