Getting ashore

Ships dock in a good spot for a stroll along the promenade. The town is a short walk from the quay. Check your ship’s notice for the berth.

Watch-outs

Palamos is a working fishing port. Shops and restaurants close for a long lunch. The sun is strong on the promenade, so bring shade.

The town

Palamos started as a fishing village, and the day’s catch is still sold at the harbour. The old fishing quarter and the promenade are the best places to walk.

Costa Brava beaches

The coast has sandy coves and clear water. Calella de Palafrugell and Cap Roig gardens are reached by bus or taxi, and boat trips visit the coves.

Food & shopping

Catalan food includes fresh seafood, such as the local prawns, and the regional wines. Harbour restaurants are the easiest choice.

Money & connectivity

The currency is the euro. Cards are accepted in most places, and ATMs are in the town.

Accessibility & mobility

The promenade and the harbour are flat. The old quarter has steps. Coves and cliff paths are rough. Ask your operator for accessible vehicles.
