## Getting ashore

The dock is within walking distance of the town centre. The port is mainly used by the daily Hurtigruten coastal ships, so cruise calls are short and the schedule is tight. Check your ship's notice for the all-aboard time.

## The town and the islands

Rørvik is a busy fishing community at the centre of the Vikna islands, a group of around 6,000 islands, islets and skerries. The coast is teeming with birds and fish, and it is a favourite spot for wildlife watchers. Boat trips from the harbour visit the islands in season.
