## Getting ashore

Ships call at Reine, a village in the Lofoten islands. Passengers land at the harbour quay or by tender, depending on the ship.

## Watch-outs

The Lofoten weather can change quickly. The paths up the mountains are steep and can be slippery. Bring warm, waterproof clothes.

## Reine

Reine is one of the most photographed villages in Norway, with red rorbuer cabins on the water, mountains rising behind and a harbour.

## Reinebringen

The Reinebringen peak is a steep climb with stairs and views over the village. It is a demanding walk, and the view from the top is the reward.

## Kvalvika and the beaches

Kvalvika beach is reached by a long walk over the mountain, and the Haukland and Uttakleiv beaches are reached by road.

## Food & shopping

Lofoten food includes cod, stockfish, Arctic char and local cheese. The harbour restaurants are the easiest choice.

## Money & connectivity

The currency is the Norwegian krone. Cards are accepted in most places. Mobile signal is good in the village.

## Accessibility & mobility

The harbour is flat, but the mountain trails are very steep. Ask your operator for accessible transport, which is limited on the island.
