Ships dock in the centre of town, with views of the fjord and the mountains on all sides. The village is small, and most of the sights are reached by road.

## Geiranger and the fjords

Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is reached by road and is one of the most visited fjords. The drive is long, so a tour is the easiest option.
