Getting ashore
Ships anchor off San José del Cabo and passengers are tendered ashore. The town is a short distance from the landing.
Watch-outs
The sun is strong, and the sea can be rough, so tender times vary. Taxi fares are set by zone, so check before you travel.
San José del Cabo
The colonial town has a mission church, a plaza and the Art Walk, a line of galleries along the Boulevard.
The Arch and the beaches
The Arch of Cabo San Lucas is a rock formation nearby, reached by boat or tour. The beaches of the Corridor have snorkelling and water sports.
Whales and the sea
Whale-watching trips run in season, and the Sea of Cortez has marine life all year.
Food & shopping
Mexican food includes fish tacos, shrimp and fresh tropical fruit. Restaurants on the plaza are the easiest choice.
Money & connectivity
The currency is the Mexican peso. Cards are accepted in larger places, and ATMs are in town.
Accessibility & mobility
The tender landing involves a step. The town is flat, but the Art Walk has uneven pavements. Ask your operator for accessible vehicles.
