Getting into Cologne
From a central berth, walk towards Cologne Cathedral and the Old Town. Outer berths may need the ship bus or a taxi. The cathedral area is the main meeting point. Cobbles in the Old Town can be uneven.

What to do nearby
Start at the cathedral. Then walk to Alter Markt and the Rhine promenade. The Old Town has narrow streets. Keep the loop short if your berth is not central. The cathedral steps are steep in places.
Going further
Rheinauhafen is south along the waterfront. It has modern buildings and cranes. The walk is flat but can be long in the sun. Trains run to Bonn or Düsseldorf if you have more time. Check return times carefully.
Food & shopping
Old Town places serve Kölsch beer and local dishes. Hohe Straße and Schildergasse have shops. Markets sell snacks. Prices are about average for a tourist city. Many shops shut on Sunday.
