## Getting ashore

Ships anchor in the bay at Red Bay, and passengers are tendered to the village or land at the small quay.

## Watch-outs

Labrador is remote and cold, with fog, ice and strong winds. Services are very limited, so bring what you need from the ship.

## Red Bay

Red Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage site, where Basque whalers worked in the 16th century. The archaeological park shows the whaling station and the shipwrecks.

## Labrador coast

The coast has fjords, icebergs in season, whales and seabirds. Boat trips run from the village when conditions allow.

## Food & shopping

Labrador food includes fresh fish, seal and berries. The village has a few small shops and cafés.

## Money & connectivity

The currency is the Canadian dollar. Cards are accepted in some places, and cash helps. Mobile signal is very limited.

## Accessibility & mobility

The tender landing and the village paths are rough. The archaeological site has uneven paths. Ask your ship and operator about accessible transport.
