## Getting ashore

Ships call at the Magdalen Islands in the Gulf of St Lawrence, and passengers land by tender or quay, depending on the ship. Check your notice for the landing.

The islands are windy and the weather can change fast. Services are few on Sundays. Bring warm, windproof clothing.

## The islands

The archipelago has red sandstone cliffs, long sand dunes and lagoons. The villages have colourful houses and a strong Acadian culture.

The sand dunes of Havre-Aubert and the beaches of the north and east coast are the main draw. Walks and cycle routes are signposted.
